Chester's City Walls are some of the best preserved fortifications in England but they still come with their fair share of problems. Shortly before our filming was started a small section had been closed off to the public.
The magnificent Eastgate Clock is, however, well looked after!

Sections of the wall have protected Chester from Roman times. Our tour looks at the Roman period and the turbulent English Civil War battle for this strategic town.
