The Water of Leith

Tour 1 - Balerno to Slateford

Your tour starts at the beginning of the Water of Leith walkway next to Balerno High School. You follow the river down to Colinton, passing numerous relics of the river's industrial past. The tour's stops to let you admire the weir in Colinton Dell before heading on to Slateford and the Water of Leith visitor centre.

Tour 3 - Slateford to Stockbridge

The Visitor Centre is positioned next to two stunning viaducts and you learn about why they were built as we pass underneath them. After a short while you come out past Murrayfield Rugby Stadium, cross over the busy road at Roseburn and then rejoin the river for one of the prettiest stretches of the Water of Leith walkway.

Tour 4 - Stockbridge to Leith

Our final tour takes in the suburb of Canonmills before we finish at the Port of Leith.

The Water of Leith Interactive Guided Tour captures the hidden charm of this waterway. We begin our tour at the start of the Water of Leith Walkway in Balerno and cover many of the man-made and natural features along the route of the river.

We've captured all the important man made features, such as the Redhall Weir. Many of the panoramic scenes contain video clips which help give you a more immersive feeling.

Our tour down the Water of Leith Walkway finishes at the historic port of Leith.
